MY DEBUT NOVEL, DONUT DAYS
DONUT DAYS’ main character, Emma Goiner, has a lot going on. Her best friend’s not speaking to her, a boy she’s known all her life is suddenly smokin’ hot, she’s at a camp-out for the opening of a donut shop, and oh yes—her evangelical pastor parents may lose their church. And that’s just this weekend. Suddenly, sixteen-year-old Emma has to make some serious choices: creationism or evolution, faith or freedom, Harley bikers or Frodo wannabes, and of course, cruller or glazed.
DONUT DAYS is out on bookshelves now, and you can order it here through Amazon.com or here through IndieBound.
My follow-up novel, THE IMPLOSION OF AGGIE WINCHESTER, will be out in summer of 2011. It’s about a Goth girl whose best friend is suddenly pregnant and the center of a prom scandal going down at her school.
My first nonfiction book was about networking, and it’s called MAKE THINGS HAPPEN and it’s a really fun, short little read about how connecting with the people around you can help you find jobs, do internships, meet other people, travel, etc.
And I promise to keep this page updated as soon as I know more about bookstore signings, release parties, and when I find out how, exactly, my husband Rob manages to play Guitar Hero with the guitar behind his head. Seriously — how?

Is your book Young Adult?
Congratulations on getting it published.

Lara–
How great! A writer from the Midwest! I’m totally encouraged! Loved Editing Letter. I saw it on Kristin Nelson’s blog. So what’s next? Something about a debut novelist to “Like a Virgin”? or maybe something about rejected Query Letters (”Another One Bites the Dust”)? Keep up the good work (on both the writing and music fronts)!
